No rules without people

Not much sense in making rules if nobody is around to relate to them… rules are about people and how we might act and not act in our relationships and daily lives… together

Paragraph ( section) sign of people

Text and drawing by Frits Ahlefeldt

A football match wouldn’t be the same without rules, neither would a busy late afternoon city, or an airport, a trail, road or just about anything else. Sketching up a paragraph sign and wondering about the dynamics and structures of rules here

Trails are maybe also closely related to rules. We find our ways through the landscapes most often by following certain tracks and paths like if they were rules. All defined either by habit, by markings or by the consequence of “leaving the path”.

Most of the time we don’t know what will happen, but still it feels more secure to stay on the beaten track and within the limits we have defined in and through our many structures, stories and rules
