Roles of Citizen Scientists

As the days go on and I draw up the different talks and projects I realize that citizen science is many different activities and it can be used in several unique ways that strengthens research and innovation:

  • Observations and counting
  • Documenting and mapping
  • Data analyzing and visualizing
  • Debating, analyzing and innovating from backgrounds in multiple fields of competence
  • Seeing and connecting reality from multiple perspectives, cultures and locations in real time
  • Creating linked networks of knowledge an being ambassadors
  • Fact checking and evaluating
